MP State Quota
85% of government MBBS seats, reserved for verified MP-domicile candidates in Rounds 1 & 2.
All India Quota
Strategy for the central 15% AIQ pool alongside your state options, so no round is wasted.
Private & Deemed
AFRC-regulated private colleges and MCC-counselled deemed universities, fee-audited college by college.
Management & NRI Quota
Documentation for the 15% NRI quota, open nationwide from Round 1 — often the fastest legitimate route in.
Abroad MBBS
NMC-recognised international MBBS options as a parallel plan for borderline NEET scores.
Madhya Pradesh is a "Closed State." Here's exactly when the gate opens.
Unlike open states, MP shields local candidates for the first two rounds. Outsiders wait. Knowing this sequence before results day is what separates a confirmed seat from a forfeited deposit.
Round 1
Government + private seats open only to candidates holding a valid MP domicile certificate.
Round 2
Still domicile-only. Allotment or upgrade here is binding — refusing it forfeits your ₹1,00,000 deposit.
Mop-Up Round
Unfilled private seats open to "Other State" candidates. Premium colleges are usually already full by now.
Stray Vacancy
Last residual seats. Reporting windows can be as short as 24–48 hours — documents must be ready in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Is Madhya Pradesh open or closed for out-of-state MBBS aspirants?
MP is a "closed state" for Rounds 1 and 2 — those rounds are reserved for candidates with a valid MP domicile certificate. Out-of-state candidates can enter from the Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy rounds onward, for seats left unfilled after domicile candidates are placed. The one early exception is the 15% NRI quota in private colleges, open nationwide from Round 1.
What is MMJKY and who qualifies for it?
The Mukhyamantri Medhavi Chhatra Yojana is a state scheme where the MP government pays the entire tuition fee for eligible MP-domicile students who win a private college seat on NEET merit — subject to family income and Class 12 board-marks thresholds, and a multi-year rural service bond after graduation.
How much security deposit is required for counselling?
Private college counselling requires a refundable deposit of around ₹1,00,000 through the official portal. Government college counselling requires a smaller deposit, lower still for reserved categories. Deposits are refunded if you're not allotted a seat, but can be forfeited if you refuse a binding Round 2 allotment.
What NEET score do I need for a government seat as an MP domicile?
Roughly 615–635+ for top-tier colleges like GMC Bhopal or MGM Indore, and around 575–595 for mid-to-lower-tier government colleges. These are projections based on recent trends — actual cutoffs depend on that year's score distribution.
Can I get NRI quota without living abroad myself?
Yes — the NRI quota is based on a qualifying sponsor (typically a close relative genuinely resident abroad) rather than the candidate's own residency, but the sponsorship documentation must satisfy strict verification rules. We help assess whether your family qualifies before you commit to this route.
How does Step Up Academy actually help, beyond information?
We work your file end-to-end — verifying certificate formats before submission, building your round-by-round choice list around your real budget, tracking Mop-Up vacancies for out-of-state cases, and staying reachable through every reporting deadline.
